Next up in our lunchtime chat series is Yuta Otani. Having initially joined as an intern, Yuta is now a Senior Executive, and chats with us from our Bangkok office.
I joined AdAsia Holdings as a fresh graduate, so I didn’t have a prior full-time job. However, I had interned at Softbank before, in their Sales and HR departments. My first role at AdAsia was as a business development intern.
I also worked with friends to start a sales firm, dealing with telecom and real estate, in Japan. The company is still running, but I chose to leave as I wanted to work overseas, an opportunity that AdAsia provided!
As a Senior Executive with the Advertiser Trading Desk, I craft digital advertising solutions for our clients, helping them to achieve their digital marketing goals.
I am inspired by our management team, especially our CEO, Kosuke Sogo-san. I believe that this company can grow very rapidly. Additionally, working in an international company is a very exciting prospect for me!
I didn’t know much about the industry before joining, but thanks to my wonderful and talented colleagues, and the training provided by senior staff, I’ve learned so much since then!
I find my job very exciting! I love finding ways to optimize my clients’ digital campaigns, getting them where they want to go in the most efficient and effective ways.
The most exciting moment of my job is the successful onboarding of a client. It really serves to validate all the hard work we put in!
Over time, I have picked up enough experience and gained enough confidence to take responsibility for bigger clients’ accounts and projects. My skills and knowledge are growing all the time, and it’s a great feeling.
I would say I’m a pretty optimistic person, and I also love talking to people. That works out great for me in my role, as I meet many new people in my line of work!
Instead of giving tips or advice, I would like to actually take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all my teammates and colleagues. They’ve helped me so much in my time here, and I wouldn’t be where I am without their help. Thank you so much guys!
My eyes; they remind me of my parents. My eye colour comes from my father, and the shape of my eyes comes from my mother.
Looking into the mirror every morning and seeing my eyes helps me remember them, and keeps me connected to them even though I live so far away.
